South Devon 191-6 (T Codd 63, B Steer 22, J West 21; K Cooper 2-16) beat West Devon 58 all out (H Williams 14; D Wolf 4-8, S Cook 2-10, J West 2-18) by 133 runs
 
West Devon won the toss and asked South Devon to bat on a grassy pitch at Delganey on a cold overcast day. South got off to a steady start before losing S. Born bowled in the 8th over for 1 with the score on 15. Remaining opener J. McMurray was joined by T. Codd. The pair put on a 30 run stand before McMurray was caught by M. Singh bowled by C. Barriball for 8. There was a good stand of 39 by Codd and new batsmen J. West, before West was bowled by K.Cooper for 15. Codd reached his 50 while in a stand of 61 with D. Wolf before being caught by Singh off the bowling Cooper for 63 off 96 balls.  Wolf followed Codd 13 runs later after being bowled by D. Goodey.  Remaining batsmen B. Steer was last out in the last over for 22 after being caught by D. Hussey off M. Borbon. B. Causley and W. Dorey both not out 4 scored quick runs off the last few balls of the final over.

 

Tea had been taken during the South innings due to rain so there was a quick turn around for the West.

 

West lost Hussey last ball of the first over for 0 with the score on 1. There was a good stand between Borbon and H. Williams to take the score onto 25, but after losing Borbon LBW to Wolf in the 11th over, it never got any better for West Devon. Williams was 8th out for 14 with the score on 44. West then lost C. Hodges first ball to Wolf and the score went to 44 for 9, which brought in J. Campbell-Beattie (Monty) to join J. Brazier. The pair put on 14 for the 10th wicket before Brazier was bowled by Blundell for 8. The West innings ended in the 25th over of 42.
